Defensive back Josh Woodman of Chatham was placed by the B.C. Lions on the injured list Friday.

Woodman has no tackles in four games this season.

He signed with the Lions this year as a free agent after playing his first three CFL seasons with the Edmonton Eskimos.

He set career-highs last season with 25 tackles on defence and 11 on special teams.

Day, Hawryluk tie for 40th

Maple City’s Garret Day and Mathew Hawryluk finished in a 40th-place tie at 16 over at the Ontario junior boys’ golf championship Friday at Tangle Creek Golf & Country Club in Thornton.

Day fired an even-par 72 in the final round and Hawryluk shot a 3-over 75.

Ex-Chatham Maroons forward Josh DiCarlo of Pointe West tied for 47th at 19 over.

Two on regional hoops team

Dylan Alward and Ian Costello of Chatham played for the St. Clair Region’s under-12 boys’ team at Ontario Basketball’s summer development program camp recently in Barrie.

The regional team also included six players from Sarnia.
