Most of the divisions are up for grabs with only Hit N Run in Men’s C that has clinched!

Men’s A

Haines Roofing was the only team to record a victory on the diamond mercying B’s Corey’s Restaurant.

The division leader Robert Q Travel forfeited on Thursday night to second place I.C. Waters.

Platinum Concrete Diamond Kings and G.C. Lounsbury were upset by B’s Matteo’s Pizza and Sunrise Equipment Roosters respectively.

Haines Roofing 22,

Corey’s Restaurant 7

Haines – Kyle Laidlaw 4-4, Darren Hawel 4-4, Phil Durham 2 Hr, Scott Harris Hr

Corey’s – Nick Joose 2-2, Steve Warren 3-3

Scott Harris homered and drove in six on the night for Haines. Phil Durham homered twice and also drove in six.

Men’s B

Matteo’s Pizza, fresh off their fifth place finish in the NSA World Series last weekend, continued their roll in league action last week. They upset A’s Platinum Concrete Diamond Kings on Tuesday night. They followed that up with a victory over a hot Sunrise Equipment Roosters squad and completed their successful week with a win over Team Awesome.

Sunrise upset A’s G.C. Lounsbury and mercied first place Ward’s Automotive.

Ward’s had doubled up Pelicans and Awesome won by forfeit over Hounds to round out the B slate.

Ward’s Automotive 22,

Pelicans 11

Ward’s – Brett Parsons 5-5, Evan Curtis 5-5, Connor Smith Hr, Brandon Velda Hr, Chad Ingels Hr, Trevor Hawley Hr

Pelicans – Benson Howey 3-3 Hr, Mike Kamenar 2-3 Adam Jensen 2 Hr

Chad Ingels was a double shy of hitting for the cycle for Ward’s, Connor Smith was a triple shy.

Sunrise Equipment Roosters 19,

Ward’s Automotive 4

Sunrise – Curtis Neable 4-4 2 Hr, Abe Krahn 3-3, Matt Heleniak Hr

Ward’s – Pat Tanner 2-2, Trevor Hawley Hr, Simon Straschuk Hr

Curtis Neable hit two long home runs out of Annandale-4 to lead Sunrise.

Matteo’s – Rob Underhill 4-4, Martin Klassen 4-4 Hr, Alex Dalby – Grand Slam

Sunrise – Derek Kunderman 3-4, Josh Munro 3-4 2 Hr

Alex Dalby had a third-inning grand slam and Rob Underhill and Martin Klassen each scored three runs for Matteo’s.

Matteo’s – Doug Falkins 5-5 Hr, Dallas Dalby 4-5 (Grand Slam), Jake Friesen Hr, Martin Klassen Hr, Alex Dalby Hr, Dave Phipps Hr

Platinum – Scott Balazs 4-5, Jeff Loveys Hr

Matteo’s won it with two seventh-inning runs. Martin Klassen drove in the winning run. Dallas Dalby and Doug Falkins each drove in five runs.

G.C. – Trevor Stuyt 4-4 Hr, Jarrett Anderson 3-4 Hr, Thom Puhr 2 Hr, Cheyne Sarafinchin Hr

Curtis Neable homered in his first three at-bats and drove in six to lead Sunrise. G.C. made it close scoring four seventh inning runs.

Matteo’s Pizza 29,

Team Awesome 13

Matteo’s – Bryan Granger 5-5, Jake Friesen 5-5, Martin Klassen – Grand Slam, 2 Hr, Dave Phipps Hr, Johnny Klassen 3 Hr

Team Awesome – Darryl Whittington 3-4, Matt Wilson 4-4

Matteo’s had no lack of power in this one as they belted out seven homers. Martin Klassen homered in his first three at-bats and Johnny Klassen homered in his first two.

Men’s C

Trophy Property Corp Expos clinched second place after beating Jokers twice including their second one winning with just eight players.

Hit N Run mercied Jokers and won by ten over Circus Room. Circus Room were also defeated by D’s Wrecking Crew.

Hit N Run – Herman Enns 5-5 Hr, Diedrich Klassen 5-5 2 Hr, Jacob Enns Hr

Circus Room – Keith McMerty 2-3, Ryan Copping 2-3, Tom Gammage Hr, Jesse Legg Hr, Justin Lockstein Hr, Pete May Hr

Herman Enns and Dietrich Klassen each drove in four for Hit N Run, Klassen led off the game with a homer.

Hit N Run 28,

Jokers 3

Hit N Run – Abe Klassen 4-4 2 Hr, Diedrich Klassen 4-4 Hr, Jake Klassen Hr, Jake Enns Hr

Jokers – Joe Ryan 1-2, Rob Stortz 2-2 Hr

Hit N Run plated seven in three of their five at bats. Seven of their eleven batters scored at least three runs.

Kyle Jones, Christian Devlin and Trevor Fleet scored three runs for Trophy Property.

Trophy were able to field just eight in this one. Their three speedy outfielders were key to the win. Will Hanson and Kyle Jones each scored three runs.

Men’s D

Wrecking Crew collected a couple of big victories knocking off C’s Circus Room and first place Sluggers.

Sandy Shore Brew Jays won the battle of the short-handed as they won with nine against Catlack Excavating’s eight players.

Kenny Mahler led Sandy Shore with a pair of triples and a pair of doubles.

Wrecking Crew 16,

Circus Room 13

Wrecking Crew – Henry Harder 4-4, George Redecopp 3-4

Circus Room – Tim Pressey 4-4, Keith McMerty 4-4

Junior Andres and Henry Harder hit triples for Wrecking Crew. Harder also scored four runs.

Wrecking Crew 27,

Sluggers 9

Wrecking Crew – Frank Redecopp 4-5, Henry Harder 5-5 Hr, John Wiebe Hr

Sluggers – Ike Hiebert 3-3, Pete Dyck 3-3, David Berg Hr

Henry Harder homered, doubled, singled three times and scored five runs for Wrecking Crew.

Ladies A

Jays shut out Advanced Towing/Morgan Realty and Corey’s Restaurant won by forfeit over Service Master in the only action last week.

Advanced Towing/Morgan Realty 0

Jays – Kirstie Jones 4-5, Stacy Lauwreier 3-4

Advanced – Nikki Lama 2-3, Melissa Johnston 2-3

Jays scored six in a bat around sixth.
