‘We should not be in lockdown’
Article content
Closing outdoor activities such as golf courses and tennis courts just doesn’t make any sense. I’m no medical expert, but what I’ve heard from medicine as well as science experts is that COVID doesn’t spread outdoors. We need to get outside and enjoy these types of activities to help us deal with this pandemic. These forms of recreational activities improve not only our physical health but also our mental health. It’s during these unprecedented times that it’s more important than ever.
Please Doug Ford, listen to those who know what they’re talking about.
Also, it’s time for Ontario to move back to the colour-coded provincial framework. Chatham-Kent has 38 active cases with a population of over 100,000 people. We should not be in lockdown. We should not have the same restrictions as Toronto, Peel and other jurisdictions where the numbers are much higher.
One more thing should be mentioned is that churches be allowed to have outdoor worship services where masks are worn and social distancing is enforced by church leaders. Our souls need nourishment as well as our bodies and minds.
