A Woodstock woman has been charged after patient narcotics were reportedly stolen from a local long-term care home.

Woodstock Police said Thursday a 36-year-old Woodstock woman has been charged with six counts of theft with a value less than $5,000 related to the alleged theft of prescription narcotics.

Neither the long-term care home nor the individual charged were named by police Thursday, but the suspect is expected at an upcoming court appearance.

Police declined further comment Thursday pending the suspect’s court appearance.
