A man was injured in a west-end shooting that Windsor police are investigating.
The man was shot outside of a house in the 1300 block of Askin Avenue and was taken to hospital with non life-threatening injuries early Saturday morning, Detective Joe Faddoul said Sunday morning.
The major crimes unit is investigating. A weapon has not been recovered and the shooting could be described as a targeted incident, he said.
“There’s no danger to the public safety.”
No arrests have been made and police had not released a description of any suspects Sunday morning. Faddoul said the incident took place Friday night and into early Saturday morning around 1 a.m. He said it was not a drive-by shooting.
“The investigation is ongoing,” he said.
