A Windham Centre man has won $250,000 on a Bingo scratch ticket.
Allan Butler, 60, said in a press release that he was at home having his coffee while playing the ticket. He saw that the numbers were forming a box and thought he made a mistake.
“I triple-checked the ticket and brought it to my mom’s for her to take a look,” he said in a press release from OLG. “Together we confirmed that I won $250,000.”
The car detailer plans to complete some renovations with his winnings, and save the rest.
“This is so surprising,” said Butler. “It gives me the opportunity to buy things I wouldn’t normally have the money for.”
The Instant Bingo Multiplier ticket is $10 and has a top prize of $250,000. Odds of winning any prize are 1 in 3.49.
The winning ticket was purchased at BJ’s Hillcrest Grocery on Hillcrest Road in Simcoe.
