Stratford, St. Marys and surrounding Perth County will receive nearly $3.2 million from the province for infrastructure projects this year.
Infrastructure Minister Laurie Scott announced Monday $200 million in total investments from a provincial fund aimed at helping small, rural and northern communities with fewer than 100,000 people build and repair roads, bridges and other infrastructure.
“COVID-19 has created challenges for everyone, including our municipal partners,” Scott said in a press release. “By making this stable, predictable investment, our government is not only improving critical infrastructure, we are strengthening local economies, creating jobs and laying the foundation for our long-term recovery.”
