OPP seize $30,000 in drugs, $5,000 in cash after car stopped for burned-out headlight

Two Ottawa men face a number of drug-related charges after Ontario Provincial Police in Hawkesbury pulled a vehicle over due to a burned-out headlight early Tuesday.
The OPP said in a release the traffic stop occurred at about 1:30 a.m. on Highway 417 near the McCrimmon Road intersection.
Following a search, the 34-year-old driver and the 39-year-old passenger were each charged with possession of cocaine, methamphetamine and other drugs.
Police also seized about $5,000 in cash.
The men were released from custody and were scheduled to appear in L’Orignal court on May 8.
