Firefighters rescue woman and infant from vehicle in east end collision

Ottawa Fire Services personnel rescued a woman trapped in a car at a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Ogilvie and Blair roads Sunday morning.
An infant was also in the back seat of the vehicle.
Firefighters arrived at the scene at about 10:29 a.m., worked first to stabilize the vehicle before beginning the extrication.
A hose line was set up as a precaution.
Specialized tools were used to remove the driver’s door of the vehicle.
At 10:49 a.m., OFS said the driver and the infant were safely extricated from the vehicle.
There was no mention of injuries.
