Financial relief measures for Oxford water, wastewater customers
In light of the current COVID-19 outbreak, and public health guidelines that recommend increased hand washing, cleaning and sanitizing, the usage of municipal water and wastewater systems is expected to rise. To help ease the financial burden for Oxford County residents and businesses, County Council has approved the following user-relief measures.
In addition to financial relief for users, Oxford County will also defer all mandatory connections to water and wastewater service planned for 2020, and defer capital billings planned for 2020.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the Chief Justice of Ontario has extended the cancellation of Provincial Offences Act (POA) courts in the province until July 3, at the earliest.
If you had a matter scheduled in POA court between March 16 and July 3, 2020, you are not required to attend. Your matter will be rescheduled for a future date not yet determined. Once the Chief Justice of Ontario has approved the resumption of POA courts, you will receive a notice with the rescheduled appearance date.
