Fifth annual Tillsonburg Ribfest this weekend

The 2019 Tillsonburg Ribfest kicked off Friday at Memorial Park, and continues Saturday-Sunday, with live entertainment Saturday from 3-11 p.m. and more local entertainment Sunday. (Chris Abbott/Tillsonburg News) jpg, TN

Attendance was good Friday at the fifth annual Tillsonburg Ribfest considering the off-and-on rain.

In addition to two pro rib vendors, craft beer, and several food trucks, there was live entertainment in the evening – including Run For Cover and Bon Jovi Forever – and many craft & direct sales vendors. Ribfest opens today (Saturday) and Sunday at 11 a.m. at Memorial Park (fairgrounds).

Today’s live entertainment, which starts at 3 p.m., includes Con A, Tim Davis, Viking, Rick Kibalenko, Do-Overs, James Kennedy, and the headliner Destroyer (KISS tribute band). Sunday is family day at Ribfest with activities for children and more local entertainment… and the annual rib eating contest (2 p.m.).
