David Trealout, 34, made a brief video appearance in a Chatham court Thursday.

Court heard forensic psychiatrist William Komer has requested more time to review collateral information and interview Trealout again.

The fitness order was extended by 30 days to July 15, when Trealout is set to return to court.

Trealout, Kimberly Price, 52, and Darin Noland, 62, are charged with first-degree murder in the death of Henry Neudorf, 55, of Tilbury, whose body was found on a road near Pain Court Jan. 12.

Previously, Trealout wanted to represent himself and scrap a fitness assessment, but has since changed his mind.

The other two accused also remain before the courts.

All three accused remain in custody.

Noland is due back in court Monday for a bail plan update.

Price returns to court July 10 to allow time for another judicial pre-trial and to arrange dates for a preliminary hearing.

There is a publication ban in place on evidence heard in the pre-trial stage of the case.

According to previously published reports, Chatham-Kent police officers were called to Town Line Road, north of Maple Line, about 11 a.m. Jan. 12 after a man’s body was found.

It’s a sparsely populated area of farmland and drainage ditches, east of St. Clair National Wildlife Area, roughly 20 kilometres west of Chatham and northeast of Tilbury.

“This is considered an isolated incident,” police said at the time. “All parties involved were known to each other. There is no concern for public safety.”

No further information was released to protect the integrity of the investigation, police said.
