Community invited to Christmas day luncheon

The Port Dover Community Christmas Luncheon Committee is busy planning for the seventh annual event.
The lunch will be held at the Lions Community Centre at 801 St. George Street on Dec. 25 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
For some, their family Christmas dinner is held on a day other than Dec. 25. Others are living away from family and are alone in Port Dover for the holidays. Some may find the cost of a Christmas dinner takes too much out of the family budget. Or, for health reasons, some just can’t manage making a big meal. Whatever the reason, doors are open.
The committee and volunteers will be serving a full turkey dinner with all the trimmings, roast pork, vegetables and dessert.
The committee includes Cathy and Ronn Hughes, Penni Lewis, Tim McCullough, Laurie Lomas, Ali White, Jeremy Schott, Tom Sartor and Donna McMillan.
The lunch is free and all are welcome. Last year’s luncheon saw 210 attendees enjoying the Christmas meal.
Everyone attending is asked to call 519-718-0778 and leave a message regarding number of people who will be attending.
