Arrest made after human remains found near Port Burwll

On Thursday, May 9, members of the Ontario Provincial Police Elgin County Detachment arrested Samuel Waters, 22-years-old, of Norfolk County in connection to the human remains found east of Port Burwell earlier this week.
The accused was charged with Indignity to human remains contrary to section 182(b) of the Criminal Code and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in St. Thomas on May 15.
Elgin County OPP Crime Unit, under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) is continuing the investigation.
