A new exhibit at the Station Arts Centre in Tillsonburg opens Thursday, Sept. 7th, 7-9 p.m.

Variety - The Spice of Life features works by Ann Duwyn and Margaret Brock. The exhibit will be on display until Sept. 30.

Duwyn is a self-taught artist living in Delhi. She has had a life-long passion for painting and art expression. Her surroundings and experiences during travel supply ample inspiration for her to create and express her passion for nature in her artworks.

Duwyn loves to work with happy, bright colours, movement and magic in her pieces. She likes to try a variety of mediums and styles, discovers and experiments with them. She is often pleasantly surprised with what unfolds.

Her recent works display her adventurous artistic spirit and love of nature, colour, and self-expression.

Brock, born in Toronto, spent her early childhood in Calgary, and has travelled coast to coast in Canada. She has always enjoyed drawing and painting, and over the years has taken many workshops to expand her knowledge of painting.

For the past 25 years years, Brock has lived in Norfolk County where she continues to be inspired by the natural beauty of Backus Woods, Long Point and the Big Creek Marsh. She has exhibited her work with local art groups, juried shows and the Norfolk County Fair. She has also completed many commissions.

A number of years were spent teaching watercolour painting from her home/studio in Simcoe. She is also a member of Norfolk Artsco.
