Curl for Kids raises $20,200 for local youth

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Ingersoll, Tillsonburg and Area's annual Curl for Kids event raised $20,200 for local families and children.

Curling teams had fun making an impact in a child’s life at two separate curling events, held Feb. 11 in Tillsonburg and Feb. 4 in Ingersoll. Teams enjoyed two six-end games, a hot lunch and prizes. The top fundraising teams were Landon & Friends and the Bossy Nagy Group. Top individual fundraisers were Davis Landon and Dave Harnett.

"It was again a pleasure to sponsor, and be involved in, such a fun event. We feel it is important to support our youth, who represent our future, and it's great to see so many members of the community coming out to support such a worthwhile organization,” said David Abrams, Scotiabank Tillsonburg in a media release.

Top Adult Fundraisers: 1st Place - $1,540 Davis Landon; 2nd Place - $1,045 Dave Harnett; 3rd Place - $601 Cathy Wisson; 4th Place - $555 Nadieska Lozano

Top Fundraising Teams: 1st Place - $2,355 Landon & Friends; 2nd Place - $1,670 Bossy Nagy Group; 3rd Place - $1,206 Wisson Frisky Beavers; 4th Place - $1,045 Scotiabank Tillsonburg
