Van Moerkerke joins O'Neil students for Thanksgiving lunch

Monsignor JH O'Neil Catholic School in Tillsonburg had a special Olympic guest Friday for their annual Thanksgiving lunch, catered by Chrissy's Catering.

O'Neil grad Evan Van Moerkerke, who swam at the 2016 Olympic Summer Games in Rio de Janeiro, was presented a Canadian blanket and congratulatory poster from O'Neil students and staff. Following the turkey-and-all-the-trimmings lunch, students lined up to get autographs from Van Moerkerke.

Van Moerkerke is currently completing his studies at the University of Guelph.
