Sonbeam Christian Daycare to celebrate 30th anniversary

Sonbeam Christian Daycare opened its door to the families in Tillsonburg in September 1986 and to celebrate the occasion an open house has been planned Saturday, Sept. 24, from 1-3:30 p.m.
The child care field has gone through many changes over the years but one thing never changes and that is their love for the children in our community.
Sonbeam staff extend an invitation to all former grads, parents, staff and volunteers to join them for a fun afternoon of reminiscing and a lot of laughter.
The open house will be held at the daycare on Saturday where they are excited to show off their expanded play space for the children. Bethel Temple Church has now moved to its new home on Quarter Town Line and they have expanded their space to include the upstairs area of the building.
Joan Sutherland, administrator at Sonbeam, credits the dedicated professional Registered Early Childhood Educators and assistants for their success. This special group of staff makes everyday a special day for the children that have passed through their doors over the last 30 years.
They also want to thank Pastor Brent Shepherd and all the Pastors in their history at Bethel Temple Church and Sonbeam's Board of Directors for their continued support over the last 30 years. Without their support they probably could not have survived some of the challenges experienced over the years. The Board continues to show its support by encouraging them to take on the challenge of taking over the entire building at 119 Bidwell St.
The staff looks forward to making this another successful change for Sonbeam.
Sonbeam hopes to reach as many parents and children from their past, present and future to celebrate with them. Thirty years in business is something to be proud of and they are! Sonbeam would like to thank all of their families for making this possible. They hope you can stop in for a quick visit or spend the afternoon with them.
