What better way to celebrate this year’s summer Olympics in Rio than to participate in a day or a week of Olympic activities at Annandale National Historic Site's 'Carry Your Torch – An Olympic Adventure' Summer Camp running August 8 -12.
“We look forward to our mini athletes competing in Olympic hurdles, long jump, beach volleyball and archery while representing different countries," said camp coordinator Madison Wild in a media release. "There will even be official medal ceremonies at the end of each day!”
The final week of camp in August is the Happily Ever After Fairy-Tale Fun Camp, which runs August 15-19th.
“At Fairy-Tale Fun, the kids are going to have a blast with our puppet theatre using their imaginations to create puppets to re-enact classic fairy-tales,” said camp coordinator assistant, Victoria Hanson.
Every day there are new activity booklets, crafts, games, and even snacks tied to the theme. Come for a day or a week. Always something fun to do and educational too!
