Firearms stolen in Tillsonburg

Oxford County Ontario Provincial Police is investigating a break and enter which occurred at a residence on Beckett Boulevard in Tillsonburg.

The break in occurred between 12-6 a.m. on July 2.

Unknown suspect(s) entered the residence through a rear patio door and rifled through several areas of the residence.

Below are some of the items which were stolen from the residence - .303 bolt action Enfield rifle; 12 gauge, semi-automatic Remington shotgun; Crossbow (unknown make/model); Toshiba laptop; Green backpack containing several hunting knives; and gold wedding ring/band set.

The investigation is continuing.

The OPP ask residents to be vigilant in recognizing suspicious people or vehicles that are in your neighborhoods. It is important for this information to get to police when the suspects may still be in the area.

Any person with information regarding the person(s) responsible for this incident should immediately contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or their nearest police authority.  Should you wish to remain anonymous, you may call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS), where you may be eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $2,000.
