Dave Weaver - Voice of Slo-Pitch

The calendar said May 14-15 for this past weekend's tournament but the frigid temperatures said more like March weather!

Two local teams had success in the tournament with Indigo Lounge winning the Ladies C title over league rival Service Master while Orange Crush captured the D championship. Maple View Variety Dbacks lost in the Men's D championship.

I think the first two weeks of my Sammy's Contest should be titled 'Meet The Millers' as this week's winner was Justin Miller. His answer of Jim Parsons, using the names Jim McKillen and Brett Parsons, was drawn.

This week's Sammy's puzzle is: What's that fluffy treat kids like to eat at fairs and carnivals?

Clue - kinda sticky

Text your answer to 519-550-4210 before noon Friday and remember that you must give the correct answer and the two names that you used. Also, the spelling in one of the names may not be the exact spelling! (Before everyone gives me a spelling lesson!)

This week's fun fact - there are three current Ladies slo-pitch players that have played together on five championship teams with different sponsors. Deb Simmonds, Christine Gubesch and Kim King were champions on Dynamic Fluid, ER Adams Insurance, Cadman's, Great Lakes Physio and Corey's Restaurant.
