Week Fifteen/Sixteen Results

Tues. Feb. 23

Corey’s Restaurant 10, Signshop 7

Our opening week matchup featured a close A Division battle as Corey’s got into good game with Signshop. It was an early 6 - 3 1st half lead but the 2nd half was even as Signshop made them earn their points. Corey’s Mike Beal led the way with a hat trick, followed by 2 apiece from Joe Lopes and Joel Taylor with singles by Eric VanWynsberghe, Marlon Ramirez and goalie Mike Mesquita. Signshop got a triple from Nate Shearer, a double from Neil Puente and singles by Nick Byrnes and Argi Yohimbe.

NuDecor 15, Kraushaar Machine 10

Our 2nd battle was a B fixture with lots of goals and NuDecor finally got their 1st victory of the season. It was dead even at the half at 5 apiece but the Decorators dominated the 2nd scoring 10 more goals. Leading the way for the Painters crew were Cedric Tomico and Aaron De Jong with 4 apiece, followed by hat tricks from Aalt Pelleboer and Tyler Danbrook and single by Terry Pittao. The Machine got 4 from Tim Hua, a triple by Tyler Harvey, 2 from Devon Schuurman and single by Cody Kraushaar.

Wed. Feb. 24

Danbrook Auto 9, DoneRight Landscaping 7

Another great battle as our hotest team on fire faced the leader of the A pack and it didn’t disappoint. It was only a 3- 2 1st half edge for the Auto gang and then another close half 6 - 5 to keep them on top.  Danbrook’s Jason Beard led the way with 4, followed by doubles from Adrian and Jan Arnoudse and single by Eric Kok. DoneRight’s big guns were Max & Don Evanitski with 4 and 3 respectively.

Ontario Laser 5, Pettman’s Auction 4

Our 2nd B fixture was a barnburner as Laser got a great challenge out of the Auctioneers. It was only 3 - 2 at the half and a solid defensive effort in the 2nd. Leading the Laser crew was goalie Tyler VanLeeuwen with a hat trick, followed by singles from Nate Beard and Bobby Orr. Auction got a pair from Gerrit Pelleboer and singles by Rudi Vanittersum and Matt Davis.

Thurs. Feb. 25

Poultry Specialties 7, Signshop 1

The Poultry crew were very stingy defensively and led 4 - 0 at the half and then only allowed a single in the 2nd to keep in the hunt for the top spot. Poultry’ s hot foot belonged to Stephan Vanittersum with 4, followed by singles from Garret Schuurman, Koert Vanittersum and Stephan DeGroote. Signshop got the lone marker from Neil Puente.

NuDecor 7, Courtland PPM 4

In the final battle of the week, it was another big win for the Decorators and 2 in a row. It had to be an upset as a short handed NuDecor crew surprised the Courtland team with the effort. It was only a 4 - 3 at the half but 3 goals in the 2nd was all that they needed to win. Aaron De Jong was on fire with 5, followed by a pair from Rachael Bryan and a hot goaltender Tyler Danbrook. Courtland got 2 from Leo Centeno and singles by Ivan Hernandez and Eduardo Centeno.

DoneRight Landscaping 18, Signshop 3

Ouch - another tilted floor score as the Landscapers ran roughshod over a depleted Signshop squad. They jumped out to 12 - 1 1st half lead and then cruised the 2nd. DoneRight’s big gunner was Max Evanitski with 8, followed by Griffin Simon’s 5, a hat trick from Jeremy VanWynsberghe and singles by Arie Verveer and goalie Darwin VanWynsberghe. Signshop got 2 from Argi Yohimbe and a single by Nick Byrnes.

Auction 9, NuDecor 3

Our 2nd battle was a B fixture with a lot less offensive. It was Auction taking the early lead 6 - 2 and NuDecor struggling to close the gap. Shaine Jansen led Auction attack with 3, followed by doubles from Gerrit Pelleboer, Rudi Vanittersum and Matt Davis. The Decorators got 2 from Tyler Danbrook and single by Cedric Tomico.

Thurs. Mar. 3

Danbrook Auto 10, Corey’s Restaurant 8

Our 1st Thurs. matchup featured a very close A Division battle as Corey’s got into a great game with our current leaders. It was only a slim 4 - 3 lead at the half and in the 2nd Corey’s closed the gap to a 8 - 7 margin before giving up two late goals. The Auto gang’s hot foot belonged to Jan Arnoudse with 6, followed by a pair from Adrian Arnoudse and singles by Jason Beard and Kyle Karwur. Corey’s got doubles from Mike Beal, Marlon Ramirez and goalie Mike Mesquita with singles by Eric VanWynsberghe and Joe Lopes.

Our final 2nd B fixture was a barnburner as Laser got into a great battle with the Machinists. It was a 5 - 3 at the half for the Machine crew before Laser made their 2nd half comeback. Leading the Laser pack was Ryan VanLeeuwen with 6, followed by singles from Doug Orr and Nate Beard. The Machine got a Hat trick from Bailey Page, double from Tyler Harvey and singles by Tim Hua and Cody Kraushaar.
