McLean was active in the community

Scott McLean, 51, a well known Tillsonburg resident passed away from injuries suffered in a snowmobile accident near Minden, Ontario early in the afternoon on Monday, January 18th.
McLean owned and operated a successful family business Green Lea Ag Centre Inc. in Mount Elgin. He was heavily involved in Tillsonburg community activities. He was a coach and served on the executives of both Tillsonburg Minor Hockey and Tillsonburg Minor Ball associations. He was also on the Board of Directors of Tillsonburg Golf and Country Club serving a term as president and overseeing the expansion to 18 holes in 2009. He was board member and chair of the Tillsonburg Parks and Rec Commission and also a board member of The Economic Development Commission and Tillsonburg Hydro Incorporated. He also sat on the board of directors of the Ontario Agri Business Association.
McLean leaves behind his wife Jane Ann (Hogarth) and children Duncan and Hayden.
Visitation at Ostrander’s Funeral Home is on Sunday, January 24 from 1-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Funeral to be held at Tillsonburg Community Centre Auditorium on Monday, January 25th at 1 p.m.
