Voice of Slo-pitch

Article content

Bryan Deblaire, a member of Robert Q Travel men's team, earned MVP honours as his tournament team Angels won the Men's B Provincial Championships over the weekend.

His teammate, a Robert Q alumnist, also had a strong tournament as well. Congrats guys!

Also congratulations to our local teams that did our town proud in this past weekend's Provincial Championships in Niagara Falls. Corey's-Maple View and Eichenberg's each advanced to Sunday action but were eliminated in their first game. Hammerheads in Men's Rec suffered the same fate. We are strictly local teams and are competing against a lot of big centres or in some case All-Star teams from all over Ontario. So good on our local players!

On a happier note our Blue Jays took three of four from the Yankees!

You can definitely tell fall is upon us as all of our local slo-pitch will be played on lit diamonds from this point on.
