Voice of Slo-Pitch
Article content
It was a super night for the fourth annual Tillsonburg slo-pitch all-star games! Chris Parker did a tireless job setting the event up and everyone involved with slo-pitch is truly grateful! It was done so professionally right down to the home run hitting contest mirroring the same model as this year's new MLB contest.
Slo-pitch also was involved in two golf tournaments as a lot of local players participated in the Non Athletics tournament at Mount Elgin while Pine Valley Golf course was host of the sixth annual Darryl Carruthers Memorial to honour the memory of a Gators slo-pitch player. A full field of 144 golfers took part and I was part of the field for the sixth straight year. Kudos to Scott Carruthers in running such a first class event!
