Thirty-five lady golfers showed up for a round of golf at The Bridges at Tillsonburg on Tuesday, May 19th despite a return of cool temperatures after a (rare) beautiful Victoria Day weekend.
There were ten 18-hole golfers playing for a low gross on the par 3 holes. Devona Allin finished first with 17. Sue Ure was second with 18. Pam Good was third with 19 and Stella Black was fourth with 20.
Sure Ure had a birdie on hole #16.
Twenty-five 9-hole ladies played for a total low gross on par 4 holes. Dorell Clark and Jan Hawkins tied for first with 20 strokes. Tying for second place with 21 strokes were Wendy Manson, Marion McLean, Ruth Joness, Anne Spencer and Ruth McSpadden.
Birdies were made on hole #1 by Jan Hawkins and Ruth McSpadden, hole #2 by Ruth Joness and hole #7 by Wendy Manson.
Conveners Bobbie Lamers and Ruth McSpadden have been busy organizing a fun day for next Tuesday's Indigo Lounge Tournament. The 18-hole ladies tee-off on the back nine at 8:30. They will be joined by the 9-hole ladies on the front nine at 10:30. Lunch and prizes will follow. Good golfing and have a good time.
