Careless driving in South-West Oxford

Oxford County Ontario Provincial Police responded to a collision on Mount Elgin Road, just west of Dereham Line in South West Oxford Township, Sunday, March 8, just before 3:45 p.m.

A vehicle was travelling eastbound on Mount Elgin Road when it crossed the centre line and struck an adult male pedestrian from behind, who was also eastbound, on the north side of the roadway. The vehicle then lost control and entered the north side ditch.

The pedestrian received minor injuries and was treated at the scene by Oxford EMS. The driver received no injuries. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

The female driver Joan Hunsley, 76 years of age, of Mount Elgin was charged with Careless Driving.
