Tillsonburg Synchers compete in Toronto

Tillsonburg Synchers recently competed in a Toronto synchronized swimming meet.

Tillsonburg's Chelsea Fischer and Ellie Ward won bronze medals in 10-and-under duet, tying with York Synchro at 51.667 points. Two Waterloo duets finished 1-2 in the rankings. Fischer and Ward edged out duets from Toronto, Burlington, another Waterloo team, and three from Variety Village.

Novice duet (trio) Rhiannon Collins, Kaitlyn Fischer and Hanna Purser finished out of the medals with 53.000 points in 13-15 duet -- at the provincial level -- but they did top Halton Hills (49.167).

The Synchers, including the rec synchro team, will be competing in Burlington at the end of the month.
