Our new year started off with a close encounter as the teams deadlocked 3-3 at the half. Corey’s picked up the offensive pace in the 2nd outscoring their opposition by a 6-3 margin. Leading the attack for the restauranteurs were Dimitri Papadakos with three, and two apiece from Selena Martinez and Chad Lofthouse, with singles by Mac Robinson and goalie Mike Mesquita. The Machinists got a pair by Rob Butchey, and singles from Justin Young, goalie Kris Foreman, Ed Michalek and Cody Kraushaar.

Signshop 4
Our 2nd game featured another close affair as Signshop held the high scoring DoneRight to 2-2 at the half. The 2nd saw the Landscapers wear them down as they trimmed Signshop by a 5-2 score. Max Evanitski led the way with a hat trick, closely followed by a pair from Don Evanitski and singles from Erik Kok and Stephan Richardson. Signshop got a pair from Leo Centeno and singles by Romel Diaz and goalie Ivan Hernandez.

Verne’s Carpet One 6
Wednesday’s match featured another barnburner of a game as Laser upset Verne’s handing them only their 2nd loss of the season. It was a tight defensive 1st half with Laser holding a slim 2-1 edge and the 2nd was just as close and exciting. Leading the Laser crew was Cedric Tomico with a hat trick, followed by a pair from goalie Tyler VanLeeuwen and singles by Nate Beard and Ryan VanLeeuwen. Verne’s got three from Lucas Bos, a double by Joel Taylor and single from Marijn Noorland.

Pettman ’s Auction 7
Our final game was yet again another balanced match with Poultry taking the early edge 4-3 at the half. It too went down to the wire as Auction tied it up late in the 2nd at 7-7 but two quick ones in the final minutes spelled defeat. Poultry’s big gunners were Molson Page and Nate Shearer with four apiece with a single from Shayne Tremblay. Auction got its usual offensive contribution from Gerrit Pelleboer with four, followed by singles from Terry Neudorf, Aaron De Jong and Rudi Vanittersum.
