Bayham man charged after collision

Ontario Provincial Police Norfolk County Detachment recently investigated a serious motor vehicle collision at McDowell Road East and Forestry Farm Road, North Walsingham.
On Thursday, January 1, at approximately 4:33 p.m., Norfolk County OPP , Norfolk County Fire Services and Norfolk County Paramedics responded to McDowell Road East and Forestry Farm Road for a collision involving three motor vehicles.
Through investigation it has been determined that a black-coloured Ford pick-up operated by a 21-year-old Bayham man was travelling southbound on Forestry Farm Road when it entered the intersection and collided with a black-coloured GMC pick-up truck being operated by a 58-year-old male of Norfolk County travelling westbound on McDowell Road East.
As a result of the collision the Ford pick-up left the roadway rolling several times before entering the ditch. The GMC pick-up then entered the eastbound lanes of McDowell Road East and collided head on with a Toyota SUV being operated by a 67-year-old female of Norfolk County.
The driver of the SUV had to be extricated by Norfolk County Fire Services at which time she was transported to a local area hospital with serious non- life threatening injuries. The driver the GMC pick-up was transported to a local area hospital with serious non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the Ford pick-up truck received minor injuries.
Technical Traffic Collision Investigators are assisting with the investigation.
On Monday, January 5, 2015, police charged 21-year-old Steven Joseph Anspach of Bayham with dangerous operation of motor vehicle cause bodily harm.
He is to appear in Provincial Court, Simcoe at a later date to answer to the charge.
