The A Division final game lived up to its advanced billing as it took two extra innings and an amazing comeback win by Maple View Variety who repeated as champions in their rematch of last year's final with Haines Roofing.
You could throw out all the catch-phrases with this one... "in slo-pitch anything can happen," "never say die," and "chip away." All these comments were heard from the Maple View bench after they fell far behind early to Haines. They showed their resiliency fighting all the way back before overtaking the lead in the ninth pressuring Haines to reply.
A great final game with a lot of spectators.

This game had more ups and downs than an elevator.
Haines moved ahead to a 12-run lead after three complete. Phil Durham had a three-run first inning homer, while Darren Hawel and Dave Phillips hit second-inning bombs.
Maple View started pecking away at the lead scoring five in the third with Ryan Black and Ryan Miller homering. They pulled within one after a seven-run bat-around sixth. Black, Miller and Randy Miller homered.
They took over the lead in the seventh. Randy Miller and Peter Epp doubled in the five-run rally.
Haines replied back in the home half tying it on homers by Phillips and Trevor Oakes. Haines got the winning run to third with one out, but Maple View stalled them there.
Neither team scored in the eighth.
Maple View got a leadoff triple from Black in the ninth, leading to a five-run inning. Haines left two on and scored none in their half.
Black led the winners with six runs batted in. Adam Thomson was a defensive standout for Haines.
