Voice of Slo-Pitch

Article content

Well, slo-pitch is almost done in Tillsonburg as the Men's B champions were crowned Thursday night with GC Lounsbury winning it in six games over Domino's Hounds.

The A Division's fifth and deciding game was cancelled Friday due to the torrential rain we received. So they (hopefully) got it in this week!

This series will go the distance as the two teams split on the week again. Mother Nature ruined any chance of completing the series Friday night.

Maple View plated 11 late to overtake Haines in Game 3. Haines forced the fifth game by winning Thursday night.

Men's B

GC Lounsbury Dirty Mitts won their first-ever B Division playoff crown by defeating Domino's Hounds, winning three straight in a tightly contested series.

The key to the Dirty Mitts' playoff success was their penchant for rallying late in games even when down. They actually scored the majority of their runs in the seventh inning.

The series was disappointing for Domino's Hounds. They were one of the hottest teams heading into the playoffs as they solidified first place.
