2014 Tillsonburg Fair Baby Show

Thirty babies competed for prizes and ribbons at the 160th Tillsonburg Fair Saturday morning in the Kinsmen Memorial Arena.

Judges for the 2014 Baby Show event were representatives from the Lake Lisgar Revitalization Committee, Larry Donnelly and Joan Weston. Baby Show sponsors were the Tillsonburg Tri-County Agricultural Society Fair Board, Campbell Amusements, Advanced Automotive, Bill Ball from Matco, Amanda Weigel, Bonnie Sitts, Ilene Chesterman and Joel Mall from Heritage Education Funds.

Each category was unique, and prizes ranged from Happiest Baby to Blondest to Youngest... and more.

Competing in the infants six months-and-under classes were: Brooklyn, Sage, Avery Andrews, Cohen Borysiuk, Ella Marie Curtis, Kara DeRuysscher, Josephine Jurenas, Emma Kerr, Jade Klassen, Bryson Lucas, Kenzie Lamers, Maisie Page and Hailie Stone. Hailie was the youngest baby competing at three weeks, with Kara just three days older.

Competing in the seven to 12 month age group were Brooklynn, Mason Boughner, Leah Dale, Maliah Davies, Sawyer Jull, Braden Kunderman, Atticus Leutschaft, Emmett Lockstein, Lilli Mitchell, Aria Montgomery, Gracelynn Pazitka, Alex Pichette and Chloe Verbuyst.

Competing in the 13 to 18 month classes were Bo Davidson, Kadence Jefferson, Abigail Lapier and Brynn Pedley.

In the classes of babies dressed for the fair theme "A Reason to Celebrate," the judges chose Atticus Leutschaft, Sawyer Jull, Aria Montgomery and Jade Klassen as the most creative. Other babies competing in the fair theme classes were Emmett Lockstein, Cohen Borysiuk, Kadence Jefferson, Brynn Pedley, Bo Davidson, Kenzie Lamers and Josephine Jurenas.

Draws for baby products and stuffed animals were held throughout the event.

A big thank you goes to the volunteers who made the 2014 show possible. They were Joan Green, Rosemary Dean, Abi Robillard, Donna Young and Ilene Chesterman. Fair Ambassador Ali Ziegler, Junior Ambassador Kyleigh Seitz and Mini Queen Ashlynne VanderGulik passed out ribbons and prizes to the babies.
