A 17-year-old male driver of a pickup truck was transported with non-life threatening injuries to an area hospital after a collision on Highway 19 (Plank Line) at Union Road in Southwest Oxford Township Tuesday morning shortly after 11:30 a.m.
The southbound pickup truck was slowing down to turn east onto Union Road, when it was struck from behind by a southbound tractor trailer.
The transport truck driver received minor injuries. Oxford County EMS and Southwest Oxford Fire Department attended to assist at the scene.
Plank Line and Union Road, which were closed for approximately four hours, are now re-opened for traffic in all directions.
Thomas Reburn, 21, from Flesherton was charged with Careless Driving.
