The Tillsonburg Public Library is excited to announce an upcoming author visit. On Thursday, July 3 at 3 p.m., we welcome author and historian Bryan Prince.

Prince is a descendant of American slaves who found their way to freedom in Canada prior to the American Civil War. Together with his wife, Shannon, curator of the Buxton Museum, Prince will discuss the subject matter he has tackled in his books: Canadian/US Black History, slavery, and the Underground Railroad. Join us for a riveting discussion with these award-winning lecturers.

Refreshments will be served, and Prince’s work will also be available for purchase. Registration is required for this free adult program, so contact the library to reserve your spot.

Join the Public Library on Wheels for Sunshine and Stories every Wednesday morning starting July 2 at the pavilion in Memorial Park. This is a free drop-in program for children ages 0 to 6 and their parents/caregivers. Families are invited to take part in an interactive and upbeat story time that will include songs, stories, fingerplays, and puppets, followed by the chance to create a wonderful craft to take home. Start time is 10:30 a.m. and the program runs for one hour.
