We can't believe it's already the end of May! Time has flown by so quickly! Soon we will be entering our last month until the end of the school year at Monsignor JH O'Neil! So, as always, this week our students are very busy…

We are so proud of our track and field students competing at TD Stadium in London. Go Knights!

We hope you sent your order form in earlier this month for McDonald Hot Lunch Days. You were given a variety of choices from the McDonalds menu. We can't wait to try our delicious meals!

And speaking of new food additions, we have been selling ice cream sandwiches every week for $3 each. Don't forget to listen to the announcements to find out when you can buy yours!

And now, as June is right around the corner, we have a few very special announcements that will make June our most exciting month yet.

Sadly, the Grade 8s, who have been with us for four years now, will leave O'Neil and make their exciting journey to high school. To all the Grade 8s, you will be missed! However, next year, we will have a new addition to our school, the current Grade 4s! The Grade 4s will be making their own exciting journey to a new school as grade fives next September! How exciting!

They will be coming to visit and see the school they will spend their next few years at in just a couple weeks. On June 11th, Mr. Good and Mr. Henry's Grade 7s will be introducing the new students. There will be games, races, arts and crafts, and so much more! Sounds like a ton of fun.

Also coming up soon is our annual O'Neil Idol! Our students will be showcasing their talent for the entire school to see! There will be dancing, singing and instrument playing.

Finally, as you may know, Mrs. Barlow, our school secretary, has been absent for the month of April, trying out a new career path as a school librarian. Well, she been accepted as a full time librarian in St. Thomas at the Monsignor Morrison School! Mrs. Barlow, we will miss you very much but are very excited for you as you create this new experience. Also, a big thank you to Mrs. Van Rybroeck for filling in for Mrs. Barlow. She will be with us until the end of the school year.
