Good Day, Tillsonburg! Many exciting and fun things have been happening here at Annandale.

We have had many dress up days to earn spirit points for a chance to win an year class party. Our most recent dress up day was Tropical Day on May 16th, 2014. The next spirit day we will hold is 80’s/ Hippie dress up. Good luck to all of the classes!

Annandale hosted the Regional Track and Field meet once again this year. We were the host to over 10 outside schools. The meet was a great success thanks to Mr. Van Asseldonk and his wonderful organizing skills. Annandale has many students moving on to the next meet in London, Ontario.

Our open house was a fantastic night filled with fun and games. Many Grade 6 students got a taste of the school. We opened our greenhouse that night, and we sold over half of the plants we had grown.

Sadly, the greenhouse is now closed. The Grade 8 students worked very hard to grow and sell most of the plants. Thank you to Ms. Daley and Mr. Baxter for supervising the greenhouse.

Baseball here at Annandale has been off to a slow start. Our team has not played a game yet due to the awful weather. We hope to have our first game on Monday May 26th, 2014. Good luck, team.

We have many upcoming field trips. Our Grade 7 students will be going to Niagara Falls on May 30th, 2014. The Grade 8s will be going to Camp Celtic, in the Bruce Peninsula, from June 5-8, 2014.

Both grades are looking forward to their year end trip. Thank you to Ms. Kisilak and Mr Van Asseldonk for their efforts in organizing these events. As well as these, both of our school bands will be travelling to Canada’s Wonderland to perform. Thank you to Mrs. Kingsbury for organizing the performances and allowing the band to stay at Wonderland for the day!

Have a great week, Tillsonburg!
