Gemini girls split first two home games

Glendale HS Gemini girls soccer team won its TVRA East home opener Friday against Woodstock College Avenue at the Tillsonburg Soccer Park. Claudia VanLeeuwen scored twice and Olivia Kyriakopoulos and Cheyenne Nevado added singles in the 4-1 victory.

Dorchester took advantage of its scoring opportunities on a wet field Monday afternoon defeating Glendale 8-1 at the Tillsonburg Soccer Park. Laura Cross scored for the Gemini.

The Gemini (1-1) have three games remaining in the TVRA East regular season -- Wednesday at College Avenue (1-1), Friday at home to Woodstock Huron Park (1-1), and at Ingersoll (2-0) next Tuesday.
