Thunder win on the road, WOAA South Finals tied at 1-1

Tillsonburg Thunder are 'back in the game' with a 3-2 road win Wednesday night.
Komoka Classics had taken a 1-0 lead in the WOAA Senior Men's Hockey South Division best-of-seven final in Tillsonburg Saturday night with a 9-4. Tillsonburg replied with a much-needed victory in Komoka to knot the series at 1-1.
Game 3 will be back in Tillsonburg Saturday, March 22, at the Kinsmen Memorial Arena (7:30 p.m.) with Game 4 in Komoka Sunday, and Game 5 returning to Tillsonburg on Saturday, March 29.
The Thunder were outshot 44-21 in the series opener, with Komoka taking a 5-1 first-period lead, but neither team scored early Wednesday. A second-period power-play goal by Ryan Stephenson put the Classics on the board, countered by a Kevin Galerno goal later in the same period.
Travis Lisabeth scored in the third to give Tillsonburg a 2-1 lead, but Komoka drew even on an Alex Avery goal with 4:49 remaining. With just 1:32 left to play, Jason Skinner scored to give Tillsonburg a 3-2 advantage.
