$28,000 drug bust in Norfolk County

Members of the Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau, Drug Enforcement Unit assisted by the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County detachment executed a search warrant at a Concession Road 4, former Township of Walsingham, Norfolk County address.
On Thursday, January 2, during the morning hours, police executed a search warrant at the Concession Road 4 address where officers located and seized a quantity of marijuana plants at various stages of growth, marijuana, related growing paraphernalia, a quantity of Methamphetamines and a number of firearms. Value of the drugs seized is approximately $28,000 dollars.
A 59-year-old male and 38-year-old female, both from Norfolk County, were charged with production of an illegal substance (marijuana) and possession of an illegal substance (marijuana) for the purpose of trafficking, possession of an illegal substance (methamphetamine) and several firearm related offences. They are to appear in Provincial Court, Simcoe, ON at a later date to answer to the charges.
