Charges are pending after a bus carrying 39 parents and players of a Markham hockey team crashed on the 401 on Friday morning.
At approximately 8:51 a.m., the driver of the bus hit a median on the 401 westbound near the Drumbo exit and pulled over to the shoulder of the road.
OPP Const. Lisa Narancsik said that two parents and one teen were sent to hospital with minor injuries as a result of the accident.
“The hockey team was headed to Ohio to play in a hockey tournament and basically there was a driver error,” she said.
Narancsik said that the passengers waited several hours for another bus to arrive.
