Shoplifting, trespassing charges at Walmart

On Wednesday, December 4 at approximately 11:20 a.m., Oxford County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a Trespass to Property Act call at Walmart located on Broadway Street in Tillsonburg regarding a known male who was trespassing.

The male party, known to the security officer and police, was seen leaving Walmart as OPP arrived at which time a suspect apprehension pursuit was initiated resulting in the arrest of a 23-year-old Tillsonburg man for the following Criminal Code offences:

- Theft Under $5000 – Shoplifting

- Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000

- Fail to Comply with Probation Order

The male is being held in custody pending a bail hearing in the Ontario Court of Justice in Woodstock.
