Our Lady of Fatima students enjoy Halloween activities

Article content

I can’t believe it's November already! This school year is going by really fast.

On October 31st, students Our Lady of Fatima School dressed up in their Halloween costumes or black and orange and participated in Halloween activities. There were seven different games that the Grade 7-8s were running and 14 different teams that the Grade 5-6s were the leaders of. The students really enjoyed the activities, especially the Kindergartens.

This year, again, we are doing Operation Christmas Child Boxes so that kids in other countries that don’t get much for Christmas can have a couple little toys to enjoy. You can fill the box with little toys, pencils, a toothbrush, a colouring book or little hard candies, but no food or toothpaste. Even getting things from the dollar store can make a difference to one child. The boxes have to be back to school by November 20th so that they can get to the children on time for Christmas.

Remembrance Day is coming up and each class will be presenting something for it in front of the school and parents at the Remembrance Day assembly. There will also be a slide show along with a minute of silence to remember the soldiers that died fighting for our country. Lest we forget.
