The Tillsonburg Public Library (Oxford County) is happy to welcome Symone McDonald to our team. Symone is a local student who is available to assist you with your technology needs. Whether setting up a new email address, learning to navigate the internet, or understanding the functions of your new laptop, Symone is here to offer her expertise and guidance. She offers one-on-one appointments, and will be offering group sessions in the coming months. Symone is at the library Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 4:30-8:30 p.m., and Saturdays from 9:30-4:30 p.m. If you are interested in making an appointment with her, please call the library at 519-842-5571, or contact her directly via email email@example.com.
There are a number of exciting programs happening at the library throughout November! Books for Babies and Preschool Storytime with Becky has returned, and is offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays. New families are always welcome!
Becky will also be holding a Teddy Bear Storytime on Thursday, November 20 in the evening. Children (and adults) are encouraged to wear their pajamas and bring their favourite stuffie.
Adults are welcome to stop by the library on Monday afternoons for our Film Series. Each Monday in November we will be showing a specially selected film at 1 p.m. Light refreshments will be served. See our website or phone the library to get more information on the films.
We are thrilled to be offering Laughter Yoga on Tuesday evenings from 6:30-7:15 p.m. Instructor Gail Kavelman will have you laughing your stress away in no time. This adult program is free and requires no registration, so grab a friend and drop in for this fun event.
Just a reminder, we still have spaces available for the genealogy program being offered by the Ontario Genealogical Society on Wednesday, November 13. This should be a terrific, informative presentation and spaces are limited!
We are thrilled to be hosting a Grand Opening celebration to commemorate the newly renovated library! Taking place on Thursday, November 14, there will be food demonstrations, live music, children’s programmers, and hands-on technology clinics throughout the evening. For more information, look for our upcoming ad in the Tillsonburg News or contact the library at 519-842-5571.
