Our first month of school has gone by already! Congratulations to the co-ed soccer team here at Our Lady of Fatima. They played fantastic at the tournament last Monday with no injuries at all. We were against quite a few other schools and did great. Thank you to our coach Mrs. Brooke for helping us with our skills to become a great team!

On September 27th, students from Grades 1 to 8 got the chance to walk to school from the public school. This was a great opportunity to spread the word of our school and to get a bit of exercise in a fun way! We will be having these walk to school days once every couple months. This is something the Kindergartens will look up to and can enjoy when they get into Grade 1.

October is here and along with it comes fair day, Thanksgiving, and Halloween! Norfolk county students will have a day off school to enjoy the Norfolk county fair in Simcoe. On October 31st, students will have a chance to wear their Halloween costumes to school for the day. If you chose not to wear your costumes you can still wear black and orange!

A reminder to everyone that parents’ council will be having its annual turkey bingo on Saturday, November 2nd at the Courtland community center. This is a great and fun event.

Everyone have a happy and safe long weekend! Happy Thanksgiving!
