Ingalls wins MX2 Round 5 of the Monster Energy Canadian Motocross Nationals at Gopher Dunes

Topher Ingalls finished behind Jesse Wentland in the second MX2 moto Sunday at Gopher Dunes, but won the Monster Energy Canadian Motocross Nationals Round 5 overall, based on his victory in the first moto. Wentland was edged out in points finishing third in the first moto.

Three riders from Gopher Dunes Racing Troy Lee Designs Honda Canada also competed in the MX2 division Sunday. Pro riders Nathan Bles, from Bayfield, Ont., finished ninth overall (13/6) and Blake Savage, from St. George, Utah, was 14th (DNF/10th). GDR's amateur program rider, Konnor Long from Saint John, NB, qualified for Sunday's pro motos and finished 28th overall in his first national series race of the season.

The Monster Energy Motocross Nationals continue next weekend, July 21, at Sand Del Lee, then moves east to Deschambault (Quebec) and Riverglade (NB) before returning to Ontario for the finals in Walton, August 18.
