“The Turtlefest Committee gives a great big thank you to Floyd Marshall and the 3rd Tillsonburg Sea Scouts for organizing the Turtle Dragon Canoe Races,” said Joan Weston in an email.
Floyd Marshall thanked his ‘crew’ in a recent email.
“Good work crew showing the town we the 3rd Tillsonburg Sea Scout can host a great Turtle Dragon Race with support of the Lake Lisgar Revitalization (Joan Weston, Mike Dean and Frank Kemp),” said Marshall in the email. “Also the support from St Paul’s Church with Rev. Maurice Francis doing the race time recording and Bill Welsh taking all of our pictures for our race, and Cheryl Flynn from the Ministry of Transportation helping Mark Pick our Camp Committee Chairperson doing the registration table. Thank you to all of our crew for their support in putting everything away after the race. Thanks goes out to Pat Carroll for the use of his trailer for a picture presentation show room and then a large utility trailer to get all of our canoes back home.”
