Enjoy an evening of music in support of the Canadian Mental Health Association – Oxford County Branch. 7:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church, 235 Thames St. S., Ingersoll. Organized by the Ingersoll Choral Society, the concert also features guest artists, Ingersoll’s Victoria Gydov, Andrew Hancock, guitar/singer, and a Youth Choir made up of local youth. Farmers' Market kicks off another season in front of Tillsonburg’s Station Arts Centre. Runs from 8 a.m.-12 noon.

The Tillsonburg Christian Men’s Fellowship will meet for breakfast and fellowship at the Eden Community Centre (Eden Town Line, just west of downtown Eden). M&M Meat Shops will celebrate its 25th Anniversary Charity BBQ Day at more than 430 M&M Meat Shops locations across Canada, including Tillsonburg. Franchisees and volunteers will be flipping burgers and hot dogs to reach this year's goal of raising $1.3 million for the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of Canada (CCFC) in a single day.

Looking for a special gift for mom this year? Treat her to Backus Heritage Conservation Area’s Annual Mother’s Day Wildflower Walk. The walk begins at 2 p.m., inside the Conservation Education Centre. Children can make a nature-inspired craft as a gift for their mom. The indoor presentation is followed by a guided walk in search of common wildflowers including hepatica, trout lily, cut-leaf toothwort and more. Admission to the Mother’s Day Wildflower Walk is $2 per person.

Tillsonburg Chamber of Commerce is hosting a second meeting on a second China Trip at the Carriage Hall, 25 Brock Street West from 5:30 to 7 p.m. The trip is scheduled for September 14 - September 26, 2013, traveling to Beijing, Shanghai, Suzhou, Hangzhou at a cost of $2,499 per person includes a $300 non-refundable deposit.

The Annual Garden Auction, a fundraiser for the Tillsonburg Horticultural Society, takes place in the Lions Auditorium at the Tillsonburg Community Centre. Doors open at 5:45 p.m. and will feature Toonie and Fiver Cash Tables full of plants including herbs and tomato plants as well as a Bake Table and Draw Table ready to go. The Live Auction starts at 6:30 p.m. and you can bid on a great selection of annuals, perennials, trees, shrubs and both lovely and practical garden items, many of which have been donated by local nurseries, garden centres and other businesses. All welcome. Cash or cheque only.

The Tillsonburg Community Garden Committee is meeting at 12 noon at the Tillsonburg Helping Hand Food Bank. Everyone welcome!
